So, This is Why Marissa Alexander Received 20 Years.

Tisk, tisk, tisk, this is a prime example of why I try not to react to events until I have all or as much of the facts as I possibly can. 15 minutes ago, I did a post about Marissa Alexander. In the post, I went into a sophomoric tirade about her 20 year sentence, for what I thought was an innocent woman firing a warning shot at an abusive husband.

Thanks to my awesome supporters,  I received a link to the State’s motion in opposition to Defendant’s motion for immunity. I now see how she could have received 20 years. Granted, this is the story from the side of the prosecution, but If they were able to prove this, then it all makes sense.
