Every time I see Gabrielle Giffords I become overwhelmed with anger. Giffords is such an intelligent, beautiful, strong woman, and I hate that she was shot, I hate that that bastard crippled her, I hate everything about the situation. With that being said, I don’t see the point of this rights and responsibilities tour.
Ok, I do see the point. Show a victim of gun violence who for all intents and purposes is shielded from any criticism, even though what she’s doing makes no damn sense. Traveling around the world shooting guns to show you don’t hate them and then advocating universal background checks, is a grandiose waste of time and money.
It’s a tour filled with useless, ambiguous, anti-gun rhetoric. The message of this tour is filled with enough euphemisms and synonyms for the words “reasonable and responsible” to put a thesaurus to shame. I admire her resilience and strength, but this tour is stupid. There, I said it,
