A felony suspect who led cops on a pursuit across two counties, endangering thousands of innocent lives, gets shot down in a good guy’s backyard. Lesson – we really aren’t that paranoid for always carrying in the backyard.
A local news station in Sacramento, California reports that an armed citizen relaxing in his backyard with his wife shot a fleeing felony suspect who made them fear for their lives. The news station said the suspect had led police on a “massive multi law enforcement chase” that seemed as if it would never end.
This is the sort of criminal who needed shooting. He placed the lives of countless mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters at grave risk in order to prevent his capture. He wouldn’t have thought twice about killing innocents to avoid prison.
Now that he will be going to the big house for a while (ok, maybe this is too much to assume in California), he can engage in a real-time public service message by telling his fellow inmates about the time he got shot by some “dude in his backyard.” This is the sort of thing that makes criminals fear armed citizens more than they already do.
After all, government studies show that criminals fear attacking a potentially armed victim more than they fear being caught by the police. The gun ban zealots want to eliminate this fear for criminals. They want to ensure them a safe working environment where they can boldly dominate the unarmed. Twisted freaks they are.
