The U.S. is fortunate not to be the target of regular terror attacks, and it is also blessed to have the Second Amendment freedom for armed self-defense if such an incident arises.

On the other hand, random terror-related violence is a fact of life in Israel. And while its citizens do not enjoy the freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights, more are arming themselves to enable a rapid response to those who would terrorize the population.

It was Sunday morning in central Israel when a suspected terrorist used a truck to crash his vehicle into a crowd of innocents congregated at a bus stop. One person was killed, and at least 36 others were injured in the heinous attack.

At least five of the wounded were reported to be in serious condition, and first responders had to free multiple victims who were trapped in the brazen terror attack.

And he planned to do much more.

The man then climbed out of the truck displaying a knife. Undoubtedly, he intended to increase the carnage, but good guys with guns stepped up and ended that scheme. Armed bystanders opened fire, killing the suspect before he was able to cause more harm and possibly deaths.

Eyewitness Shuki Green described the chaos and intervention by the heroes to All Israeli News. “We got off the bus, and we are a group of retirees from Mizrahi Bank. Some had already gotten off and some hadn’t. I was off. Then a truck came and drove between the fence and the bus. Luckily, the bus prevented the truck a bit. There were screams and a cloud of dust. The truck driver had a knife in his hand and was trying to get out of a truck and was shot.”

The deceased driver was later identified as Rammi Natur of Qalansawe.

Without the presence of armed citizens to neutralize the driver, the frightening incident would almost certainly have been even more tragic. In the U.S. and around the world, guns save lives endangered by those who have no regard for others.

They say the first step to solving a problem is admitting there is one.

Well, the Pew Collectors Anonymous is your way of admitting you have a problem buying guns but you have no intentions of solving that problem, because Pew Collectors Anonymous isn’t about solving a problem; it’s about embracing it.
