Since my freshmen year in college I have always received flack for rocking a messenger as oppose to the pre pubescent double strap back pack worn by my peers. In all fairness in a crises I would prefer a double strap backpack. Don’t let jack Bauer fool you, running with a messenger is like, well running with a messenger.

However, day to day, being a self proclaimed urban gun enthusiast, I prefer the messenger, but what does an urban gun enthusiast carry day to day to lug around all the crap he or she totes around day to day

Enter, the Armordilla Discreet Case from high speed gear. The Armordilla Discreet Carry is basically the manliest messenger bag you’re going to find this side of man purse land. Its not exactly small, quite frankly it almost borders on being too big and if you fill this thing to capacity it is too big, but that’s like saying the Rolls Royce Phantom is too big because you could fit a coffin in it if you wanted.

This bag has more pockets than the number of sexual partners I’ve had in my life time. Ten pockets to be exact for you nosey bastards counting pockets trying to quantify my sexual past. It was just an analogy. lol

If you haven’t figured it out yet the purpose of this bag is to be a discreet conceal carry bag so no one knows you have a gun in your bag Here’s the thing, the bag is discreet from the stand point of not looking like your carrying a gun but people notice the bag as I get asked about it quite a bit.

The outside flap has two pockets one on the front and one in the back. The front pocket is a god send when you’re running around and need to get to little stuff quickly without having to open the entire bag.

The inside pocket is transparent which is good for putting things in that would otherwise be forgotten in one of the million pockets on this thing.

The main compartment is like one big black organized hole. Hmm that didn’t sound right. Anyway.

The organized black hole yes I said it again is divided into three section with one of the section being secured by Velcro.

The middle main compartment can fit about three MacBooks and has a removable cell foam pad secured by Velcro that protects the bottom and sides.

I usually throw my Mack book in the middle and iPad in one of the side pockets.

The front side of the bag has two big ass zipper pockets and two mag pouches. The two zipper pockets can fit 3 ar15 mags or 2 ak mags.  Or if you’re like me I throw my Mac book charger and cord in one and whatever misc crap I may be carrying that day in the other. These two pockets always seem to come in handy.

The front also contains two pistol magazine pouches that are covered by flaps to keep them discreet. The pouches aren’t really for pistol magazines but that’s what I use them for.

I love the para cord that is attached to tighten up the pouches so the mags stay put yet you still can grab them easily

Now for the part we’ve a been waiting for, the gun or as honey cocaine so eloquently calls it, the toolie!

The backside of this bag contains a Velcro laden compartment fitted with a one size fits all holster.

I love and hate this aspect of the bag.

I love it because I can carry my gun very discreetly and be able to get to it from several location thus expanding the way I can carry the bag.

I hate it because its a Velcro nightmare. To hsg credit the Velcro is the most secure and reasonable way to secure and get to the gun but man what I give for some snaps or buttons.

The Velcro does allow a lot of flexibility for where the holster sits you just feel like you’re in finger trap because Velcro does what it was designed to do, grip.

When it comes to actually drawing the gun, you’re not going to be winning any fast draw competitions.

It’s not incredibly slow but it isn’t inside the waist band fast either.

As far as drawing from concealment,  you’re not winning any fast draw competitions.

The holster is one size fits all which makes sense and done very cleverly by utilizing more Velcro to adjust the size and shape which is good.

The quality of this bag goes with out saying I’ve abused the hell out of this bag.

I have used this bag as a carry on on many flights and used it day to day going in and out of trunks back seats and all.

In short, I love this bag from a utilitarian practice perspective. From an aesthetic perspective I like it but I don’t love it.

This bag is like the BMW M6 its a GT/Sports car but really it’s a sports car first.

The armordilla is a field bag first urbanite day to day bag second but it does both really damn well.
