My phone chimes indicating I just received a text message: “Would you disown me if I put a Nikon Optic on my AR?” I’m sitting in the middle of my living room floor, decompressing from a long day, and eyeing the coyote-brown Daniel Defense DDM4V5LW lying on the floor. It’s almost 12 a.m., and my friend is still texting me about guns.
I quickly respond to his text with a dismissing “nope” and begin contemplating how I want to set up my newly acquired rifle (Aimpoint PRO Patrol Rifle Optic) on my floor. Then it hits me: damn, I’m spoiled. My friend’s asking me about what optic to put on a rifle he doesn’t even own yet, and here I am trying to figure out which optic I don’t want to put on my one of many rifles.
