Sigh, it’s always the cute ones. Honey Cocaine (yes, that’s her actual stage name) is like Tori Nonaka and Karrueche Tran‘s evil twin sister (love me some Karrueche). I wanted to shoot myself after watching this video, but that meant this would have been the last video I watched before kicking the bucket so I passed.
I swore we left fake gangsta rap back in the early 90’s.
Initially, I was going to give her a little credit for at least using what I thought was a Walther PPQ, but that quickly passed when I realized it was a Springfield XD. Don’t get me wrong, the XD is a great gun, but Walthers are the connoisseurs gun of choice, and It would have brought some taste to this rather distasteful video.
Allow me to engage in a moment of contradiction.
Suicide inducing music aside, Honey Cocaine is cute as hell and I actually can stand to listen to her (briefly). Her delivery is nice, voice is good, lyrics meh, but she’s a little too angry. Either way, a fail is a fail and she doesn’t get a pass for being cute with a decent delivery. If you are going to handle a firearm in your video, do it correctly.
Let’s take a gander at some of her violations
SAFETY VIOLATIONS:
FMJ Ammunition In Carry Gun: 00:04
– I think the video makes it clear this is her “carry gun”, for lack of a better word, stupidity withstanding. Using full metal Jacket rounds instead of Jacketed hollow points is a bit of a liability (Over Penetration Anyone), not to mention you’re kind of decreasing the effectiveness of the round going with a FMJ round as opposed to a JHP. Then again, we are talking about Honey Cocaine.
Finger on The Bang Switch: 00:08, 00:11, 00:23, 00:28, Pretty much the entire video.
– Classic birdbrain violation and again we are dealing with what appears to be a birdbrain. A very cute birdbrain. Let me take that back, cleaning your gun (00:28) with your finger on the bang switch solidifies your position as a birdbrain. These violations were so excessive I stopped counting. It really just becomes comical at a certain point, but gun safety is never funny! (serious face)
Flagging yourself, the cameraman, and pretty much the entire world with your finger on the trigger: 1:44
– A part of me wants to believe the cameras used to shoot this video were not manned, but I find that hard to believe considering she flagged the camera 30 billion times along with herself.
A part of me feels like this video was done tongue in cheek but safety is safety and this is Safety Nazi Alert!
